Help us continue to provide services to over 30,000 clients a year by donating today. GAAP is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit that receives no funds from the government, but relies on the support of its donors to provide essential services and support for low-income individuals.

The lives of most GAAP clients are characterized by poverty, abuse, discrimination, and other conditions that undermine personal and family stability. Many lack basic human needs, such as affordable housing, food, health care, and personal safety. Each year GAAP touches the lives of thousands of individuals struggling to overcome these obstacles. We rely on the generosity of our donors to meet the critical needs of underrepresented people in our community.

GAAP gratefully accepts donations of any size, and 100% of your donation is tax-deductible. Your donation to GAAP makes a real impact. For example:

  • $200 helps 1000 clients receive GAAP’s much-needed legal and support services
  • $100 supports advocacy for one client at a fair hearing to ensure they continue receiving the benefits they need
  • $30 ensures that GAAP can provide clients with essential items, such as socks, shampoo, and deodorant
  • $4 is the average cost to help one client who visits our drop-in clinic

In addition to monetary contributions, donations of goods such as blankets and clothes, particularly coats, sweaters, and socks, are always welcome. Donate online today, or contact Bill Hart at gaapbhart@gmail.com or call (415) 928-8191.

Join us at GAAP’s annual raffle at the Temple Bar & Bistro in April 2010. There will be hundreds of great prizes, including tickets to sporting events, gift certificates to local restaurants and other surprise items.

Raffle tickets are only $1 each and help support GAAP’s mission. Because the average cost of helping each one of our clients is $4, purchasing just four tickets means one additional GAAP client receives supportive services and advocacy. Contact Bill Hart to purchase tickets or donate prizes.
